On December 19, 2013 Gypsy Taub and Jaymz Smith got married in the nude on the steps of the San Francisco City Hall in defiance of the nudity ban.

I got to the City Hall and saw a huge crowd of reporters and onlookers. It was a little bit unnerving. I changed into the white dress and veil and made a speech. Then we got naked (both of us and our minister George Davis). George Davis is a long time body freedom activist of San Francisco. The sheriff’s deputies told us to leave the steps once we disrobed. It was so crowded that it took a while for us to get down through the crowd. It was awesome! We did our vows naked and kissed. The mariachi ban started playing and we danced together and then with other nudists, and then with everyone who wanted to dance. We danced to the joyous mariachi music for a long time. It seemed like at least 45 minutes. At that point police threatened us and I refused to get dressed. They instantly put me in the police van without giving me a chance to sign a citation which is highly illegal. Just recently a higher court ruling was made stating that police are no allowed to arrest people for infractions unless the arrestee refuses to sign a citation. I told the police over and over again that they were breaking the law. Finally they agreed to release us if we sign citations and get covered. We signed citations, got covered (I tied the wedding dress around my waste so I was still topless). They released us and we instantly stripped down again and put on our cocks. I was wearing a purple dildo and Jimmy was wearing a huge orange cock (by the way, it was made of jail socks, tennis balls and a water bottle). The police did not bother us any more since we were technically “covered” enough to comply with the nudity ban.

We marched around the Civic Center and to the Federal Building and back. We were carrying body freedom signs. There were about a dozen of us. I was wearing the vale and my strap on dick. Jimmy was wearing the black tuxedo vest and his orange cock. We got a lot of dropped jaws and comments such as “Only in San Francisco!”

After the march we went to the reception at the Center for Sex and Culture where a lot of nudist activists and supporters were waiting for us. We made a circle and talked about our success as a movement and caught up on some personal stories. It was a sweet gathering of naked and dressed body freedom supporters.

Tomorrow at 6 AM I am going to fly to LA to be filmed for a TV series called “Legal Diva” that airs on Sundance channel. I feel truly honored to have been invited by the host Loredana. This show should bring us a lot of publicity and help our movement a lot. I am excited!
